If you meet the required standards at that university, then you have to submit a pre-registration application to the nearest Italian embassy or consulate in your country. Basically, this will submit your application and documents to the Italian higher education institution in which you have chosen to register.

Finally, the Italian embassy or consulate publishes a list of usually accepted candidates at the end of August.
