What type of Visa is required for an international student in Morocco?
Morocco issues 3 types of visa: tourist visa, transit visa, and long-term visa. Students who want to study in Morocco need to apply for the long-term visa.
This is a visa that is for foreigners who want to go to Morocco for long-term stays, either for work, education or visiting family members. Moreover, this visa is valid for 3 months. At the end of this period, students can apply for a Residency Card in Morocco.
How do I get a student visa for Morocco?
First Step: Choose the university in Morocco you want to study in
First and foremost, you have to choose the course you wish to study in Morocco. Then you have to get the admission before visiting the embassy.
When you are accepted to a higher education institution in Morocco, get your confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS) and gather all the documents that you then have to submit to the embassy.
Second Step: Find the nearest embassy
Go to the nearest Moroccan embassy in the country you are staying in and apply for a student visa.
This should be done after obtaining the admission letter to any recognized Moroccan institution in Morocco.
To qualify for the entry of Morocco on a student visa, the student needs to get a minimum of 40 points for the request to be considered.

Third Step: Complete the paperwork

Fourth Step: Gather Documents

- Fill the visa application in capital letters and sign it.
- Original passport (valid for more than 6 months from the entry date).
- Copy of the original passport (pages 1-3).
- Two passport-size photographs with white background.
- A copy of the admission or enrollment letter in the relevant university in Morocco.
- Copy of the flight ticket or the confirmed booking.
Fifth Step: Payment of Visa Fees
The applicant has to pay for the service fees. Submit your complete application and get a receipt, as prescribed by the embassy.
Moreover, additional visa fees will be added for each member of the applicant’s family (partner or children) applying at the same time or at a later time.
Receive your Study Visa in Morocco
