Types of Scholarship in Turkey
Generally, scholarship in Turkey is divided as follows. For undergraduate Scholarship Programs, here’s the list:

Monthly reimbursement
The monthly grant is about 600 TL (Turkish Lira) for undergraduate students. Similarly, 850 TL for a master’s degree and 1200 TL for PhD degrees.

Also, free accommodation and air tickets, to and from Turkey. You may be asked to submit your health insurance.

How can I get a scholarship for Turkey?
For the Bachelor’s degree
- You must have any nationality other than Turkish nationality, and any application submitted who has or has previously held Turkish nationality is rejected;
- An average of at 90% in medical sciences, or 70% for undergraduate programs like a diploma, or high school;
- Not registered at a Turkish university;
- Holds a high school diploma;
- 21 years or under;
- Must be in good health.
For postgraduate applicants
- You must have any nationality other than Turkish nationality, and any application submitted who has or has previously held Turkish nationality is rejected;
- Not registered at a Turkish university;
- Has a bachelor’s or master’s degree at least six months before submitting the application;
- Must be 30 years of age or less for Master’s programs, and 35 years or less for PhD programs;
- Your GPA is of 75% in your previous certificate;
- Must be in good health.

For undergraduate degrees
Generally, whilst applying for a scholarship in general, applicants with undergraduate degrees have to do the following…
- Apply for a government-funded higher education scholarship program
- Copy of the high school diploma

- Copy of a valid ID like passport or birth certificate
- Passport photo
For postgraduate degree
Generally, applicants with a postgraduate degree have to do the following…

Türkiye Burslari scholarship program
When talking about scholarships in Turkey for international students, there is no way not to mention the Türkiye Scholarships. Granted by the government of Turkey, this scholarship program has features that make it standout from any other scholarship program in the world
Starting from the possibility of the students to choose any other university in which they will apply. Moreover, this is a program that only non-Turkish students can benefit from, in order for the foreign ones to enjoy social and cultural activities during their study stay in Turkey.
For that, the scholarship program not only covers the students’ tuition fees but also their other needs such as accommodation and health insurance for the duration of their education. For the cultural part, the scholarship allows students to learn the Turkish language with a 1-year course.
To cover their daily expenses, students also benefit from a monthly stipend. This stipend amounts 1,000 TL for undergraduate students, 1,400 TL at the master’s level, and 1,800 TL for PhD level students. To be allowed to apply, students must provide proof of academic excellencies. The minimum levels of academic achievement are 70% for a bachelor’s, 75% for a master and PhD and 90% for medicine, dentistry and pharmacy studies.
