Postgraduate Studies in Czech Republic
The private institutions can be distributed into three groups: the Czech institutions that offer Czech programs; Czech institutions that offer foreign programs; and foreign accredited institutions that offer programs in many languages, including English.
The public Czech institutions offer other postgraduate studies programs, in addition to PhD studies, in foreign languages.
Academic Year in Czech
The academic year lasts for 12 months. The head of the higher education institution (university president) determines the start of the year. The courses are divided into semesters or years, which consist of a teaching period, examination period, and vacation. Each institution sets the structure of the academic year.
Normally, the academic year starts in October. It is divided into two semesters: the first in winter and the second in summer. The examination period lasts for five weeks after each semester. Summer vacation takes place in July and August.

Programs and courses are available in English in all fields, such as humanities, history, social sciences, business, law studies, political sciences, and international relations.
According to the law, higher education in the public and state institutions in the Czech republic is free for the students of all nationalities, with the following exceptions:
- Admission fees
- Fees for extending the study duration after a certain date
- Studying an additional program fees
- Fees for studying in a foreign language
As for private institutions, they determine their own fees. Tuition fees in the private institutions ranges between 2,000 and 15,000 Eur.
Study Business in Czech in English
The Czech College is an education institute located in Prague. It focuses on teaching business in English. If you want to study in Czech in English, this institute offers a number of programs that cover business studies and languages.
Unlike the Czech language, you can study in English after paying fees in both of public and private universities, as we have previously mentioned.
You can add the English language major to your last year of study, but you will have to submit all the required documents at least a year and half before admission. The best time to submit such a request is in January.
The costs of studying in English in Czech differ according to the chosen discipline. The minimum cost reaches 1,500 Euros for the academic year, with a maximum of 8,150 Euros for the year.
