Danish is the official language in Denmark. In fact, most university programs are taught in Danish. However, you don’t need to worry. Considering that English is an internationally spoken language, there are 600 programs that allow you to study in Denmark in English.

Copenhagen University offers 59 English-taught programs. That being said, there are no Bachelors degree programs in English. Most of the English-taught programs at Copenhagen University are at a Masters level, which include:

Masters in immigration studies

In this two-year-long program, you’ll gain an understanding of opportunities and challenges in international immigration. You’ll also learn the causes of these challenges and their effects on many other fields. Furthermore, the program is a mixture of humanities and social sciences.

Masters in agriculture

This Masters program is for students who have a special interest in agriculture and its impact on society. Additionally, in this two-year program, you will specialize in agricultural sciences or production and the environment. Masters in water and the environment

This program will enable you to work in water consumption management.

University of Aalborg

Aalborg gives students the opportunity to study in Denmark in English on a Bachelors level. Among the available English-taught specialties are:

Bachelors in arts and technology

In this three year program, you will learn about various theories in art and technology and gain the necessary skills and knowledge in the field. Additionally, you’ll learn theoretical and applied studies in creative art and technology.

Bachelors in languages and international studies

To study this specialty, you will need to have knowledge of politics, history, cultural analysis, and communication. Additionally, you need to have a good level of English language proficiency.

Chemical engineering and biotechnology

In this program, you’ll study topics that relate to analysis, manufacturing, environmental monitoring, energy, and food safety. Additionally, you’ll learn how to develop new equipment in the field of technology. Furthermore, as a chemical engineer, you will take on the role of developing technology in the future.

Aarhus University

Aarhus University offers four English-taught programs on a Bachelors level:

Bachelors in economics and business management

You’ll learn how to analyze corporate financial problems and the contributing factors in economic growth. Furthermore, you will learn about selling, organization, development, manufacturing, and business.

Bachelors in international business and manufacturing

 In this three year and a half program, you will learn about business management, marketing, and manufacturing.

Bachelors in marketing, business, and communication

This program is a combination of communications and economics. Furthermore, you’ll study theories and methods of application necessary for planning and organization in the field of business.

Additionally, there are many other bachelor and masters programs that you can study at universities in Denmark in English. There are also a number of summer programs to enhance your skills in a certain field.

Requirements to study in universities in English in Denmark

  • Proof of English language proficiency, in the form of your results to TOEFL, IELTS or PTE tests
  • Transcripts of your academic records or grades
  • Letter of recommendation

  • Previous degrees: high school diploma, bachelor’s or master’s
  • Evidence of funds
  • Application fee
