UMGF offers merit-based awards. The fellowship is for full-time students (Masters/PhD) at the University of Manitoba regardless of nationality. Additionally, the scholarship is worth $18,000 for PhD students and $14,000 for Masters students for 12 months.

This program is for international PhD students (applicants from developing countries are preferred) in humanities or social sciences.
